Zines - They can be adictive

In my collections of things I need to pare down are some zines.  I had listed some on Etsy and sold some but I was thumbing through others this morning and decided it was time to part with more.  If you are a fan of write you own mini zine you really should join Swap-Bot http://www.swap-bot.com/ as they have great swaps for these.  There is one group called Zines, Mail Art and Other Cool Stuff that I used to be active in and is lots of fun.  Go over and meet some very nice people.

4th of July

When I was a child we were often at the beach on the week of the 4th of July.  When I was very small I thought everyone was celebrating MY birthday as my birthday was on the 3rd.  I have always liked red, white and blue but maybe not as much as my older sister did.  I believe she was the first in the family to put up a patriotic Christmas Tree.

Happy Birthday

Today is my VERY happy birthday.  I think I must have the very best neighbor ever.  He called and asked to speak to Bob (my husband).  Later Bob came in with a dozen red roses and singing (off-key as we all do in this family) Happy Birthday.  I knew where they had come from but the neighbor wanted me to think my husband had ordered them.  How often do we do something and not want to take credit for it?

Every day I am reminded how much kindness is in this world.
